What the house actually holds
The chapel on the ground floor is consecrated. It is kept closed, and opened for guests who are marrying at the villa — which is the one thing here that cannot be arranged anywhere else in the collection.
Ceremonies are usually held on the lawn under the trees, where well over a hundred chairs sit comfortably. Dinner goes either on the gravel in front of the house, where a marquee can stand, or the length of the facade under the windows, which is the version people remember. The dining room takes the whole party indoors if the weather turns.
Sixteen bedrooms mean the wedding party sleeps where the wedding is. That is worth more on the morning after than it sounds the week before.
Days that have happened here
We give you the house. The rest you engage yourself.
What you rent from us is the villa, its garden and the work our own staff do. Everything else a wedding needs — the planner, the caterer, the florist, the photographer, the musicians, the celebrant — is an independent business.
We are glad to introduce you: these are people who have worked in this house before and know where the power is and how long the drive takes. But they agree the work and the price with you, and they invoice you directly. We take no margin and no commission, and their fees never form part of the price of the villa.

- Exclusive use of the villa and grounds for your dates, the sixteen bedrooms, and the chapel if you are marrying here.
- What is not
- Catering, flowers, music, hire, planning and photography. All of it excellent, none of it ours to sell.
- Numbers
- Over a hundred seated on the lawn for a ceremony; a marquee on the gravel for dinner. Tell us your number and we will tell you honestly whether it works.
